Really sharp group of bike mechanics. I took a used bike from Marketplace here that was having major problems. Turns out it was a Frankenstein bike with totally incompatible parts. The best bike shop in east van! The guys here are so knowledgeable and helpful. We have bought bikes here and recently just brought in a second hang bike that we were having issues with. Was meeting a seller from FB Marketplace to have the bike checked over. The staff and mechanics were able to immediately let me know that the fork was bent and that there was no easy fix or solution. Really helpful. Would have sucked for me to get stuck with a damaged vintage steel bike, their skills and expertise helped to prevent that.

Not bike related, but Mactalla Cycles helped me out when I was struggling to replace my license plate after a trip to the insurance broker next door due to some corroded nuts and screws. They lent me rust penetrant and, when that didn’t work, gave me a couple zip ties to strap my plate to my car to get me home. Amazing customer service to someone who wasn’t even a customer. I’d 100% trust them with my bike.
