What RoostMode collects when you visit: server logs, Google Analytics 4 usage data, and email you send us. No accounts, no data sales, and how to opt out.
RoostMode does not ask you to create an account. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect when you visit, why, and how to opt out.
Information we collect
- Basic server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp), kept for security and reliability and not used to build profiles.
- Usage data through Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and interactions such as clicking a dealer website button or a comparison. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. We do not send names, emails or precise location to Google Analytics.
- Information you voluntarily send us by email or through the contact and dealer listing forms, used only to answer you or update a listing.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish sessions. You can block them with your browser settings, a content blocker, or theGoogle Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works normally without them.
Affiliate links
Some product links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer may set its own cookies and pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent visitor data.
- We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
- We do not share your email with dealers or manufacturers unless you ask us to pass a message along.
Dealer listings
Dealer pages show business information from public sources such as the dealer's own website and public map listings. If you own a shop and want a listing corrected or removed, use the update listing form.
