Freewheel Bike Richfield

I received the state-wide e-bike rebate (brag). I came into Freewheel with basically no idea what I wanted and needed my hand-held through everything. The staff were all so helpful and incredibly knowledgeable, especially John! 10/10 customer service all around!

A couple of years ago, I purchased a bike that I only rode about 4–5 times. After not using it for a while, I decided to start riding again and, given the time it had been stored, I thought it would be best to bring it in for a tune-up. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I needed a part ordered, it came in quickly and had it installed in a few minutes. It is great having a local bike shop that I can count on to help me with my bike needs.

The problem with this bike shop is two-fold. First, they primarily sell Trek, which has massive quality issues these days. Second, they no longer either know or care how to properly assemble and set up a bike. I have had no end of issues with my bike since I got it, and due to trust issues with this location, I have been taking it to a different shop, where I constantly hear "wow, I've never seen that before."

Once again, their quick work saved a group ride. Years ago, someone on our ride, broke a chain about 3 or 4 miles away from this shop. I called, on the off chance that somebody could drive out and do a roadside fix. Amazingly, they did! We were not even regular customers! They saved that ride. Today, my cleat broke about 14 miles into a 55 mile group ride. I told the group to go on without me. I knew this bike shop was about 4 miles up the road. The group said they’d stay with me.
