Came to Rice bikes with an extremely niche bike issue related to an internal gear hub. This is not something most bike shops work with and two famous local shops in Houston were unable to address. The college students at Rice Bikes took on the challenge, fixed my bicycle, and charged me less than these stores did for failed attempts. Highly intelligent, motivated crowd (duh, it has "Rice" on the name!) with a genuine interest in their jobs. Immensely grateful to them.

They were friendly and professional. I needed two screws to install a foldable lock on my bike rack because I had lost them during my move. The lady kindly gave me two screws for free and helped me install them on my bike. That was really nice of her, and I will definitely return whenever I need help with my bike.

Most of the technicians are friendly, and one guy told a joke or two to help ease the mood. This is an update after about 5 months. The service was slow and somewhat faulty. Brought my bike in for a brake adjustment and wheel alignment. I will say the prices are good but shouldn't be at the sacrifice of quality service. So I recently had to spend the extra money to get my bike repaired again this time by a bigger shop... I wish they could be more thorough in their repairs as a brake adjustmen...
