They have a good mission in principle, but the prices for parts and used bikes are pretty high. I went here expecting it to be a thrifty way to fix up my old bike for school, and it was far from that (rusty old 1990's forks for 75 each?). It seems like more of a boutique shop than something for everyday people. That being said, they have a very large selection of bikes and parts, so if you are okay paying extra to support a good cause, then it's a nice place to shop.

Yesterday was my first time back to the Bicycle Collective in ~3 years since leaving SLC. I came back to find it in a new location which is much bigger and so much nicer than the old one. I was a walkin and was immediately helped. They looked at my bike and were able to resolve my issues on the spot. Now my bike is working better than ever. I maybe got there a good time but they were very knowledgeable helpful and friendly.

The staff is super rude, I don't think i'll ever be able to go there again. I put my name on the list to do a shift adjustment on my bike and waited for over 2 hours. Then Mag, after he's been doing nothing but scrolling on his phone for the last 2.5 hours, walks up to me with his hair in his face and says "you need to go home, we don't have time" I wasted 2.5 hours of my day waiting just to get sent home. I understand the rule and why no new project after 5. But when a customer put his n...
