Absolutely terrible experience. Do NOT bring your bike here. My son took his electric bike in for a simple flat tire repair. They charged over $60 just to fix the flat, which is outrageous and feels like price gouging. When he got home and tried to ride, the bike’s electric system no longer worked. Recently relocated here to Prescott. I have an old school Cannondale MTB with their single head shock. I was no longer working properly and I had found that most bike shops would not (or could not) repair them. All they wanted to do was sell me a new bike. I called High Gear and they said bring it in and let us take a look at it. I had nothing to lose at that point. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff, without the sales pressure ethos of so many shops. Cindy and Ellie are models of what bike shop people should be. Kudos.

I love this store. It has a very personal feel to it. Cindy is the best and is super helpful. This is the anti-corporate store. Its owner operator so they take pride in their work and will stand behind it. Yes, you can sometimes find cheaper prices online, but I'd rather support the local community and our small businesses. This business has been around a long time and I hope it will remain.

The lady here was unprofessional from the start of my experience for my first time at high gear bike shop. This is my first and last time doing business. I came in for a $20 job and turned into an $88 job and she still had a bad attitude. Complaining that she didn't have the correct list to accommodate my bike. My bike is heavy.
