I brought in my pink cruiser that I bought online and tried to assemble as much as I could on my own. I brought it in for them to do some final touches (chain in gears, tightening brakes and handle bars, air in tires, etc.) and to make sure it was fully safe to ride. The bike was ready for pick up earlier than expected and they were great at communicating with me on everything. I love my new bike thanks so much :)
Now that I’m venturing into cycling and just overall having a bike, I now get to explore local bike shops and on today’s list is Fire House Bicycles off of Baltimore Ave. I was joyful walking up the steps because I’ve been to the surrounding business but never up these glorious steps. Service fees are extremely high—what should be a simple 15-minute job (a change of brake pads) was projected to have a week-long wait and a quote nearly double what I ultimately received elsewhere. As someone who knows bikes, I found the pricing to be misleading and not reflective of the actual labor involve...
