"I bet you didn't know you bought a lemon" - these were the parting words from an employee as I left this bike shop, refusing to pay $670 for what should have been a simple tune-up. In the past they've done decent repairs on my bike. This last service, ethics was thrown out the window and when I submitted feedback the response was so subpar. The whole point of the feedback was to indicate how you complete a service for what I brought in the bike for and then point out afterwards (paraphrasing), "Oh your bike is not suitable to ride anymore."
Amazing help and service in buying a road bike from a novice. They let us take the bikes out on the west side highway to get a feel for what they are like which was super helpful. They spent time teaching me how to clip in to the point where I was able to ride home. They were also just really kind and cool people to be around. There were super fair on pricing and I felt like I got a great deal. Thanks so much Justine and Steven for the help!
The lady at the front helping me was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Other customers walked in as I was making adjustments to my bike and she was never pushy but very educational. Great experience and they had everything you could possibly need in stock
I bought a $1,000 Trek from them a few years ago (on sale) and it was a very good experience. And while I typically do all my bike maintenance myself, sometimes I don't time or the expertise or tools for some things, and that's when I go to Bicycle Habitat.
