Pedals Bicycles

I never leave bad reviews but this one warrants it, so buckle up. We first rented from Pedals during Thanksgiving of 2024, and had a great experience. Walked in, rented a bike (adult trike, as I have inner ear issues), no problems whatsoever. This past week though (August 2025), was totally different. I had rented a bike from another bike rental place on the island. They called me the day the bike was to be delivered to tell me that they couldn't deliver it to the address I provided to them. Apparently, they don't have a pass to get into Hilton Head plantation. We didn't have a vehicle big enough to fit the bike into. (it was an adult trike) The rental was cancelled. Bikes were all ready when we arrived in the garage of the condo we were renting (and there were 8 of us!). They all had baskets and locks. All worked great and we appreciated Pedals’ offering lower prices than other companies we compared rates with. Riding bikes was our favorite part of the trip to HHI- we rode on the beach and all over the paths in the area we were staying. We even bought lights so we could ride after dusk!

I have been renting from Pedals for years. It has been a seamless process. I make my request and they have always delivered on time and pick up on the correct dates. If I need a size change for one of my children, it has been a very quick process to get an updated bike at their shop. I rented online this year and they followed up with a live phone call to confirm. I can’t recommend them enough. They do a great job and you will not be disappointed.

A bolt fell out of my bike rack and was it was hanging loose., I stopped at Pedals bike rental for help. The owner noticed another bolt elsewhere on the bike that could replace the one I’d lost. With a bit of his time, some tools and creative thinking, he soon had my bike safe to ride home again. Next time i have visitors in town, will recommend PEDALS for bike rentals
