The Bike Hut

What a treasure! If you love San Francisco. If you love being treated like a person that matters. Take your bike for repair, or rent a bike from this place. Best decision. And very convenient for visiting the Embarcadero.

Very happy of finally checking my sf bucket list item of loop city biking with the bike from the Bike Hut! Good bike with supplementary cushion, basket, helmet, wipes, map and even water if you need. The guy working there is superb - he will give you pro tip to bike around the city. I would definitely recommend you to grab a bike here and explore the city no matter you are a tourist or a local!

Today, was my first visit to The Bike Hut but it definitely won’t be my last. Located at Pier 40 (South Beach Harbor) on the Embarcadero is a literal hut, painted yellow with a large sign that says The Bike Hut. Great thing about this location is that parking is available if your traveling from a distance and need to transport your bicycle via car. Michael is wonderful! We bought two bikes from him for burning man and he got them ready, added a kickstand and basket, and changed the tires. The price was super reasonable, and he was very flexible on timing. He was a pleasure to deal with! I highly recommend The Bike Hut for purchasing or renting a bike :)

Me and a friend rented nice road bikes here. We had a great experience! The owner is super friendly and gave us great tips. We went across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito and then Tiburon. Would 100% recommend!
