Kozy's Cyclery - River North

Has had an issue with pretentious, snarky salesmen. Have been to many bike shops, worked at a high traffic one in the suburbs many years ago. This shop is very hit or miss unfortunately. There's friendly younger folks at the front, some chill mechanics, but Ive had a higher amount of negative than positive experiences here. Horrible customer NO service!! My first time in this store. Just bought a place in the neighborhood and needed a bike helmet in possibly a new electric bicycle. Ready and willing to drop two thousand dollars on the ebike Wanted to buy a helmet first and scout chicago out on a divvy bike. I was absolutely the only customer in the entire place. Got fenders and a bike rack installed from them. The first time, they did some wizardry to get the fenders to stay on at the same time as my frame lock. The second time, when I realized I didn't want the frame lock anymore because it impeded the fender, they fixed it for free! Shout out to the chill dude with long hair who repairs the bikes -- he's the reason I'll only go to this location

I just wanted give a shout out to Brian at Kozy's for being an excellent person, and an excellent representation of the bike community. Today I biked to work for an important meeting, but being in a hurry, I forgot to grab the key to my bike lock. Tried to put a child’s bike together that I bought online. Kozy saved me when I couldn’t get the brakes to work. Next time, I will buy local. Lesson learned. Thanks Kozy team! Always reliable.
